The paper presents a synthesis of some investigations presented in the literature, on the issue of children with autism spectrum disorders, their particularities of communication, as well as the results obtained from a personal research. The interest in researching this issue was due to the observation and personal work with these children, after which I deduced that there are many difficulties in terms of the act of communication. Communication is an essential component of life, which must be understood as correctly as possible in order to achieve its goals.
Communication involves a common internalized code, currently representing language, along with verbal means of expression: gestures, facial expressions, body movement and attitude, spatial organization of behavior. Autistic children fail to learn as ordinary children learn. They seem unable to understand the simplest form of verbal and nonverbal communication, the sensory information leaves them confused and is characterized by different degrees of isolation from the world around them. They have to learn everything, from how to behave at the table, at school, in the city, to the fact that they are not allowed to undress on the street.
