Abstract

Adolescence is a tumultuous period that comes with a series of profound changes on the following levels: social, emotional and physical. and demonstrate maturity, adolescents may engage in a number of maladaptive behaviors such as violence, substance abuse, delinquency, unprotected sex, etc. To cope with all these changes and pressure specific to this period, it must have effective coping mechanisms, mechanisms that strengthen in childhood. A traumatic childhood can have a devastating effect on the physical and mental health of adolescents.Emotional, cognitive, social problems, etc. may occur, but not all adolescents who have had a Traumatic childhood evolves in the same way.Researchers have shown that certain traits personality disorders such as conscientiousness, increase the psychological resilience of the adolescent and thus the quality of life.
