The main objective of this research was to identify a relationship between eating behavior (restrictive, emotional and external) and occupational depression. The study included 60 participants,
with equal percentages of women and men, employed in both the private and public sectors to identify possible differences in these relationships. Occupational depression is a form of depression
specifically related to a person's occupation or work environment. It can occur when work demands or conditions significantly contribute to the development or exacerbation of depressive symptoms.
Highly stressful work environments, workplace harassment, or lack of support can contribute to the development of occupational depression, which can significantly impact eating behaviors. This study focuses on the relationship between occupational depression and eating behaviors, specifically restrictive and emotional eating.
